Maya Versions
Velia rig has been tested in Maya 2023 2024 or Higher. Any other versions of Maya may not work with velia becuase velia was created in Maya2023.

Note: you may need to repath all of the textures.

Steps to Set Up the Project to Prevent Velia Rig Texture Color Issues

  • Create a Project Window

    • Open Maya.
    • Create Project Window.
    • Set project

  • Move the Velia Texture Folder

    • Locate your Velia Texture folder.
    • Move it to [Your Project Folder] > sourceimages.

  • Enable ‘Generate UV Tiles on Scene Load’

    • Go to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Preferences.
    • Under Display, enable ‘Generate UV Tiles on Scene Load’.

  • Reference the Velia Rig

    • Go to File > Create Reference.
    • Select the Velia rig file and click Reference.

  • Check Textures

    • The textures should now be displayed correctly.

  • Adjust Brightness (if needed)

    • Go to Renderer.
    • Adjust Light Intensity to 1 if textures appear too bright.
